Data
USE
SuperStone Crack repair polymer and powder when mixed, may be used with
or without fabric as a concrete patch or can be used as a flexible waterproof
coating for above or below grade cementitious surfaces such as concrete,
masonry, stucco foundations, block or DBS walls and many forms of decorative
architectural concrete structures. NOTE: SuperStone Crack Repair &
Waterproofing mix should not be used on swimming pools, cement tanks or
roofs where it will stay in contact with ponding water for extended periods
of time.
SURFACE
PREPARATION
All surfaces should be clean. Remove any spalding, loose or deteriorated
cementitious surfaces. Use a high pressure water cleaner or sandblast
(2500 PSI). Surface must be firm, free of dust, dirt, oil, debris or moisture.
MIXING
INSTRUCTIONS
SuperStone Polymer/Powder is best mixed in temperatures above 70°F
and below 90°F. The ratio of polymer to powder is 1 to 1. MIX ONLY
THE AMOUNT NEEDED. Place the desired amount of polymer/powder in a clean
container and mix with a portable mixer with appropriate size blade. Mix
for approximately 5 minutes until all lumps have be broken up. The pot
life is approx. 30-90 minutes based upon location, temperature and humidity.
APPLICATION
Step 1:
Crack must be clean and dry. Open fine cracks with a saw blade. Mix only
enough epoxy for crack size. Mix 3 parts A to 1 part B of epoxy in a separate
clean container. Stir for 3-5 minutes. Paint the crack with epoxy mixture.
In the remainder of MIXED epoxy, stir in enough sand to form a paste-like
yet still pourable consistency. Pour in crack and use a putty knife to
push mixture into the crack and smooth. Sprinkle with dry sand. Allow
to dry until no longer tacky. Broom off any excess sand.
Step 2:
Now mix the Polymer and Powder according to MIXING INSTRUCTIONS. For best
results, apply 1/16 inch of SuperStone Crack Repair over prepared crack.
As you are applying the Polymer/Powder mixture with a trowel, roll out
the fabric mesh and force into the mixture to cover the mesh. Smooth and
feather. Allow to dry COMPLETELY before applying top finish coat (approximately
4-24 hours dependent upon location, temperature and humidity). DO NOT
apply when temperatures are below 45°F or above 95°F. Never add
water to the Repair mixture.
CLEAN
UP
